Hun Many Urges People to Continue Trusting the Government

Phnom Penh: Member of Parliament for Kampong Speu, the son of Prime Minister Hun Sen, Hun Many, has asked Cambodians to continue trusting the government led by his father. Hun Many took to Facebook to say that the royal government has “always taken care of the safety and well-being of the people”. He also asked all the country’s security forces to be ready to safeguard peace and social security.

He wrote: “Please continue to believe in the Royal Government, which is always happy to mourn with the people in all situations. Let all the forces be ready to continue to work with the government to prevent the spread of Covid-19, as well as to monitor the living conditions of the people in their localities.”

Hun Many's remarks come at a time when Cambodia’s second wave of Covid-19 is peaking, with the Delta variant having caused a new spike in cases, but the government’s vaccination campaign is progressing well with over 71% of the total population over 12 now fully-vaccinated.
